Instructions

  1. Add the water and Demerara sugar to a pot over medium heat.
  2. Stir until the sugar dissolves (~5 minutes).
  3. Once the sugar has dissolved, add the molasses, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
  4. Stir, cover with a lid, and then let it cook for 15 minutes. 
  5. Strain your syrup into a clean, airtight mason jar or glass pouring container. 
  6. Store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.Â
