4 Delicious & Easy Cocktail Recipes to Put a Spring in Your Step! (Vegan & Gluten-Free)

4 Delicious & Easy Cocktail Recipes to Put a Spring in Your Step! (Vegan & Gluten-Free)

Well, it’s official…in addition to losing my mind, I’ve also completely lost all sense of time in quarantine.

Did you know that the first day of spring already happened like a month ago?! I seriously had no idea until I just looked it up 0.0482 seconds ago!

And apparently alcohol sales have been through the roof since the start of the quarantine! Since it seems like everyone is stocking up on “essentials” why not put those “essentials” to good use by creating some springtime cheer, eh?

In the spirit of quarantine (I think I found the name for my first boat!), I created these recipes with the same few primary ingredients to stretch resources. Plus, it takes way too long to get deliveries nowadays and I’ve gotta get my spring on!

I focused on combining the same few ingredients, including cherry simple syrup, rose water, tequila, vodka and a citrus component, to create the perfect balance of sweet and lightly floral cocktails!

Oh, and why rose and cherry?

Since this is when roses and cherries bloom, they seemed like the best ingredients to usher in spring. (Plus, I already had frozen cherries in my freezer and we make do with what we have, okkurrrr?!

Anywho, be sure to check out my super simple recipe for cherry simple syrup that’s needed for some of the cocktails. It’s also great with sparkling water (like Topo Chico) if you want a non-alcoholic, old-fashioned soda!

The Recipes

 Cherry Blossom Martini

I love cherry blossoms! They’re one of my top 3 favorite flowers…the first two are almond and coconut. ;P My Cherry Blossom Martini tastes just like a popsicle with the proper amount of (adult) refreshment!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 frozen organic cherries
  • 2 oz. Tito’s vodka
  • 1 oz. cherry simple syrup
  • Squeeze of organic lemon
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Muddle your cherries in the bottom of a cocktail shaker or mason jar.
  2. Add the rest of your ingredients on top of your muddled cherries.
  3. Shake for about a minute.
  4. Strain over a martini glass. You can add in the muddled cherries if you’d like 🙂
  5. Garnish with a lemon twist to keep it classy.

Notes

If you would like a lighter, less sweet flavor, you can add 1 oz. of water to your martini. It tastes like a slightly watered down popsicle in the best way possible!

 Tequila Rose

Obviously, I already love Prosecco, but, in this recipe, the Prosecco learns to live in harmony with the other amazing flavors like fresh lemon, crisp blanco tequila, and a hint of rosey goodness!
